The Vision.
Having a child with an eating disorder is stressful. There are fears for their mental and physical well-being.
Once you have identified that there is a problem it is really the beginning. Often times parents are left out of the treatment process and are not provided with the support that they need. We want to change that and provide a space that is safe for parents and empowers them in the recovery process alongside their child.

Who should join? Any parent of a teen or young adult that is struggling with an eating disorder and feel that they would benefit from some extra support.
Goals of the workshop:
-
Hold space for the pain, grief and stress around having a child that is struggling.
-
Provide psycho-education around the treatment process and resources.
-
Explore how to establish a pro-recovery environment within the family.
-
Discuss ways to support your child, while also taking care of your own needs.
-
Build coping strategies to manage personal stress.
-
Provide community of other parents that can relate.
